On the obverse side of 2020 Australian Platinum Striped Marlin Coins, you will find the sixth-generation portrait of Queen Elizabeth II to grace Australian coins. This design from Jody Clark was created in 2015 and depicts the Queen in right-profile relief wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown.
The reverse face of the 2020 1/3 oz Platinum Striped Marlin Coin comes with a depiction of the creature leaping from the water. The stripes on this species of marlin fade or darken depending on the fish’s level of excitement or stress. The dorsal fin is tall and rigid, giving it a distinctive appearance.
