With the tremendous success of its Canadian Wildlife coin series, the Royal Canadian Mint is pleased to release another of its animal inspired coins, the 2014 1.5 oz Canadian Silver Arctic Fox. Each of these Silver Arctic Fox Coin has been minted from 1.5 troy ounces of the purest .9999 fine silver, making it suitable for IRA contributions.

The reverse side of the coin displays the effigy of Elizabeth II, where great care has been taken to capture her poised, yet serene countenance. She represents Canada’s continued allegiance to monarchy despite the end of its period under British rule. Framing her portrait are her name and the abbreviated Latin phrase, D. G. Regina.
